IRIS - supporting Tasmanian education

IRIS Computing is a preferred C150 State Government Contract supplier of IT Hardware and Warranty Support to the Department of Education, State Schools, Tasmanian Communities Online as well as the Private Schools sector.

Our partnership with the Tasmanian Department of Education has been a strong and successful one over many years. We are a major supplier of IT Equipment and peripherals to the department.

In 1999 IRIS was chosen to supply and install 225 Acer Altos servers in school administration offices throughout the state. The rollout and installation was over a period of 2 years.

In 2005 IRIS was chosen as the supplier for the Department of Education Notebook for Teachers Rollout. 5,700 Acer Notebooks were supplied in this project.

In 2009/2010 IRIS was awarded back to back tenders to re-supply notebooks for Tasmanian Teachers. 5,300 Lenovo Notebooks were supplied in this project.

IRIS design and maintain school public address systems, as well as installing and terminating computer networks.

We have been a major sponsor for the Tasmania Administration Association and the Tasmanian Principals Association for over 15 years.
